I went to college in North Carolina for four years, one of which was spent studying in Würzburg, Germany. The last five years I've been at Princeton, working on my Ph.D. in musicology (history of music). To take a break from my dissertation, I spent last fall teaching at my alma mater, Davidson College. I'm aiming to be all done here by summer 2009, at which time I hope to get a job teaching somewhere. I enjoyed my time in the South and am tolerating New Jersey, but I really miss living in Traverse City.
