After graduating I earned a BA in psychology from Kalamazoo College, I spent my junior year living and studying in Strasbourg, France and was fortunate enough to spend most of that time traveling and enjoying Europe. After graduating in 2001 I moved back to TC for a few years, and worked at Child and Family Services as a foster care worker. I then decided to go back to school and earned a Masters in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 2005. Now I am currently a doctoral candidate in Social Welfare. I am planning on finishing in the spring of 2009.
I live in Cleveland, Ohio and in addition to writing my dissertation I work as a researcher with dually diagnosed individuals as well as inmates. I also teach in the social work and non-profit management programs at CASE.

Aside from school and working, I just got married at the end of May in TC. I met my husband in college, playing on the college hockey team. He is from Mt Pleasant, so we make it back to Michigan frequently.
